Sailing Section

Opening Hours

Meetings are normally held on the second Friday of the month at 7:30pm at the clubhouse. These are friendly social evenings for any TBC member to attend to catch up on what’s happening, discuss ideas and generally have a chat about nautical matters.

Dayboats

Whilst we don’t have an official ‘Dayboat Section’ at the TBC we do have several keen Dayboat owners who can be found on the water regularly. Conditions at the club lend themselves to this type of sailing — as we can sail in relatively shallow water whilst being robust enough to venture out to sea. For those who are into trail sailing and keep their boats in the yard, there are plenty of launching locations nearby that are not dependent on the tide being in.

Windsurfing

Opening Hours

This is an activity that the club would like to encourage on the estuary. Shallow sheltered water for around 2 hours either side of high tide used to make the estuary a popular destination for windsurfers. With the club’s newly renovated changing rooms, ample car parking and friendly bar, the TBC would be an ideal location for windsurfers to use. If you are interested in joining the club to use these facilities, please get in touch with the membership secretary — contact details on the membership page.

Dinghy Sailing

Opening Hours

The club has a dedicated dinghy park as well as excellent changing rooms and shower plus car parking for members to use. Please make enquiries about Youth Section activities.
